The Association of Intercultural Communities from Oradea together with the Association “Regionális Ifjúsági Szolgáltató Központ” from Miskolc, Hungary and the Association “Mládežnícky spolok Exit” from Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka, Slovakia, started the “Be independent!” project in Baile 1 Mai, Bihor County. The trilateral project is funded by the European Commission under the Youth in Action.

The project was implemented between 23.03.2013-31.03.2013.

Type of Project: Youth Exchange, Action 1.1.

The project was attended by 30 young people, 10 from Romania, 10 from Hungary and 10 from Slovakia.

The overall objective was for the participants of the Youth Exchange to learn to live in a multicultural context, to know each other’s traditions and culture.
The specific objective of the project was supporting and advising young people wishing to pursue entrepreneurial activities.

– Promoting the project and the Youth in Action program
– Youth Exchange
– Dissemination of project results
– Monitoring
– Evaluation

The project tried to address the entrepreneurial sense of the young participants through the proposed activities and presentations that were held by guest speakers with experience in social and economic entrepreneurship.

The project had the following guests:
– Tunde Kinter, lecturer at Partium Christian University (Oradea, Romania).
– Péter Kmotrik, social entrepreneur, president of the Association Gemerský mládežnícky spolok (Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka, Slovakia)
– Gergely Tóth, lawyer (Miskolc, Hungary)
